Participatory Evaluation Approach in Community Empowerment

How do we know we are really making a difference?

The Take Part East Midlands Participative Evaluation Course is taking place at the University of Lincoln, in partnership with Goldsmiths University of London and Manchester Metropolitan University.

The course is an opportunity for individuals involved in active citizenship in the East Midlands to participate in a series of workshops led by Professor Marjorie Mayo, of Goldsmiths College, University of London. The workshops are an opportunity to reflect and share experiences of community empowerment and develop better ways to learn and evaluate our own programmes, projects and experience. By exploring participative evaluation, participants will be more confident knowing how their work has made a difference.

Each workshop provides participants with the tools and techniques necessary to actively reflect on their experience. Between each workshop there is the opportunity to work with staff from the University of Lincoln to develop tailored evaluation activities and strategies to help your group or organisation.

Resources, presentations and background information used in the evaluation course can be found by following resources link at the top of the page.

For further information on the course or resources, please contact community@lincoln.ac.uk or telephone 01522 886157.
